Since its formation some 70 years ago, the Evans Property Group has become established as one of the UK's largest and most successful property investment and development companies. Originally founded by the late Fred Evans OBE, the Company has very much been a family orientated business.

It was initially floated in 1971 with assets of less than £8m and a rent roll of around £700,000 p.a. During its quotation the business reported increased profits each and every year and for the last 24 years dividend growth of 10% p.a. This was an enviable record matched by few companies in the public sector.

The Evans family increased their share holdings in 1999 and de-listed Evans of Leeds Plc from the London Stock Exchange ending 28 years of public quotation. Since taking the business private just eight years ago, it's net asset value has increased by around £325m to £400m.
