Public Sector - South Leeds
Investment Partnership for South Leeds is an initiative to help attract investment and support regeneration across a large area of South Leeds, with a particular focus on the urban area. The area under consideration incorporates Beeston, Belle Isle, Churwell, Cottingley, Middleton, the Elland Road area and Morley and is bounded by the M1, M621 and the M62.The establishment of the partnership has been championed by Leeds City Council and Millshaw Property Co. Limited (the latter is a joint venture between Land Securities and Evans Property Group, who have a long standing interest and significant land holdings in the South Leeds area including the White Rose Shopping Centre and the Millshaw Park Industrial Estate).
Through its operating structure and working arrangements the partnership already embraces a number of different public, private and voluntary sector organisations. It is hoped that many more will become involved as the potential benefits of joint working are more fully explored.
