DevelopmentsEvans has over 70 years experience in delivering development projects on budget and on time. Over this period Development has been a major strategic area for growth and with a few exceptions, the principal assets within the Portfolio have come from our development sites.
The current development pipeline has an end value of over £1bn and includes option land for housing, strategic regeneration projects and city centre commercial development sites.

Many of our developments are in joint venture with well known organisations such as Land Securities, Crosby Homes and Kelda Group. Evans is able to consider opportunities on merit alone and is not constrained by shareholder needs and with a strong entrepreneurial culture within the company, we have been able to identify and exploit niche areas for further strategic growth including student accommodation and the holiday leisure market.
As a leader in responsible development, we use our influence to protect and enhance the wider environment. These policies are put in to practical effect in our developments as evidenced with Evans Easyspace new build projects which have achieved a minimum BREEAM accreditation of Very Good and an Excellent accreditation has been achieved on the latest Centre utilising ground source heat pump technology. Similarly, the accommodation currently being built for Rotherham Borough Council has been designed to reach BREEAM ‘Very Good’ standard as a base level, but the specification is being upgraded to achieve an ‘Excellent’ standard in conjunction with the Council’s enhanced fit out specification requirements.
